Genetic Development – Breeding – Nordic dairy

We are looking for a temporary Breeding Supporter for covering a maternity leave. You will be a member of the VikingGenetics Genetic Development and Breeding department and carry out tasks related to screening of the Nordic dairy populations for suitable breeding stock, bulls for semen production and heifers for embryo production, in cooperation with the other breeding specialists.
The results of the work contribute to obtaining genetic progress in the Nordic dairy populations. A significant part of the work tasks will be related to the development of the VikingEmbryo program, including communication with recipient herd owners, embryo logistic and to ensure that KPI goals are met.
Workplace: Skara
To be considered in this role, you need to have agriculture and breeding experience and preferable would be to have an advanced technical degree in agriculture including animal breeding courses.
You have a passion for dairy cattle breeding and enjoy being part of a progressive and innovative team, but you are also able to work independently.
You are open-minded, ready for a changing work environment and an active team player. Practical experience would be an advantage, but not a requirement.
Good communications skills are essential both spoken and written in English and Swedish.

Dina kvalifikationer:

Djurskötare med Naturbruksgymnasium utbildning eller motsvarande erfarenheter
Händig, praktiskt lagd person som tycker att det är roligt med varierade arbetsuppgifter.
