We are looking for a new Breeding Specialist. You will be a member of the VikingGenetics Genetic Development and Breeding department and carry out tasks related to screening of the Nordic dairy and beef populations for suitable breeding stock, bulls for semen production and heifers for embryo production, in cooperation with the other breeding specialists.
The results of the work contribute to obtaining genetic progress in the Nordic dairy populations. A significant part of the work tasks will be related to the development of the VikingGenetics breeding programs incl. embryo production. This includes communication with breeding advisors, breeders and recipient herd owners. Moreover, the candiate will support Breeding Managers in solving tasks and analyses which support decision processes and the quality of these.
Our Swedish office is in Skara, but the location can be discussed as it is might possible to sit with our partner Växa, which has offices all over the country.

To be considered in this role, you need to have a master degree or advanced technical degree in agriculture including animal breeding courses.
You have a passion for dairy cattle breeding and enjoy being part of a progressive and innovative team, but you are also able to work independently.
You are open-minded, ready for a changing work environment and an active team player. Practical experience would be an advantage, but not a requirement, and experience with project management and data analysis is much appreciated
Good communications skills are essential both oral and written in English and Swedish.

We are looking for a temporary Breeding Supporter for covering a maternity leave. You will be a member of the VikingGenetics Genetic Development and Breeding department and carry out tasks related to screening of the Nordic dairy populations for suitable breeding stock, bulls for semen production and heifers for embryo production, in cooperation with the other breeding specialists.
The results of the work contribute to obtaining genetic progress in the Nordic dairy populations.
