We are currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated Plant Controller / Finance Manager to join our leadership team at the Skara plant. This is a key role in a newly structured company, offering the chance to make real impact, shape financial strategies, and grow alongside the business.

Your mission
As Plant Controller/Financial Manager, you’ll be a strategic partner to the Plant General Manager, leading the financial agenda and contributing to all key decisions at the plant. You’ll be an active member of the plant leadership team and responsible for financial performance, planning and reporting, while also leading and developing a high-performing finance team.

Responsibilities

Full financial ownership of the plant’s income statement and balance sheet – P&L, balance sheet, cash flow


Lead budgeting, forecasting, and monthly closings 


Drive profitability through product/customer analysis, cost control, and process improvement


Be a key player in capital investment decisions and long-term planning (LRP)


Represent the plant in financial matters at regional and European levels


Partner with cross-functional teams to identify cost savings and growth opportunities


Ensure compliance with audits, accounting standards, and corporate policies


Lead and inspire the finance team with clear direction and continuous development



Candidate Profile
We are seeking a candidate with a high level of education and a degree in economics combined with solid financial management experience from a similar industry and operational scale, preferably from the automotive industry. You have held a finance leadership role in a manufacturing environment for at least five years, and you bring a proven track record of successfully leading and implementing projects, financial methodologies, and end-to-end process improvements. Experience in driving change and developing new structures in mid-sized production facilities is highly valued.You possess a deep understanding of both near-term objectives and long-term financial planning and have consistently demonstrated your ability to meet strategic goals. Familiarity with operations involving complex material flows and a large workforce is essential. Your ability to collaborate, communicate, and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization is a key strength. Fluency in both spoken and written English and Swedish is required.

As our Business Manager, you’ll be the key link between our customers and internal teams, ensuring every program meets both financial goals and customer expectations. This role offers high visibility and influence across the business, with responsibility for operations across all sites.

Your mission
The main purpose of the role is to drive the commercial success of programs by managing financial deliverables, building strong customer relationships, and ensuring alignment with business objectives. Act as the primary commercial liaison between the company and customers, focusing on negotiation, pricing, and business development.The position may be based at any of our three locations in Skara, Färgelanda or Låssby and will carry responsibility for our operations, regardless of the specific site.

Responsibilities
       Lead the Commercial Side of Programs

Manage financial and commercial activities for new, facelift, and change programs — ensuring alignment with budget and profitability targets.


Create and present detailed quote packages (costs, capital, pricing strategies).


Track program financials, identify improvement areas, and report performance to leadership and stakeholders.


 
       Be the Voice to the Customer

Act as the main point of contact for all commercial matters, building trust and ensuring transparency.


Lead negotiations on pricing, contracts, and terms to secure win-win outcomes.


Identify and develop new business opportunities within existing accounts.


 
       Own the Financial Oversight

Monitor key financial metrics — pricing, costs, tooling, and capex.


Prepare financial updates for internal reviews and customer milestones.


Ensure all commercial deliverables meet internal and customer quality standards. 



 
       Collaborate to Improve and Innovate

Work closely with Program Development, Engineering, and Plant Management to align on commercial goals.


Drive cost-saving initiatives (VA/VE) and support profitability throughout the product lifecycle.


Participate in cross-functional teams to ensure alignment across departments.


 
       Champion Compliance and Safety

Promote and adhere to health, safety, and environmental policies.


Support and comply with IATF 16949 and other relevant quality standards.


Act immediately on any safety or environmental concerns.


Candidate profile
We are looking for a commercially minded professional with a university degree in Business, Economics, or a related field, and at least 3-5  years of experience in commercial, finance, or business management roles within the automotive industry. The ideal candidate has a strong background in customer negotiations, contract management, and commercial strategy, along with excellent financial analysis and reporting skills. Familiarity with APQP, PPAP, and IATF 16949 standards is highly desirable. You should be fluent in English and Swedish, both written and spoken, and additional language skills are a plus. You are also well familiar with Microsoft Office. You are a strategic and flexible individual with a hands-on approach and a willingness to travel to support key programs and customer relationships will thrive in this role.
